Wash and dry the potatoes. Slice them thinly without cutting all the way through. To make it easier, place the potato between two wooden spoons or chopsticks.
Melt the butter and mix with the spices. Brush the potatoes thoroughly, ensuring the butter gets between the slices. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake the potatoes for 20–30 minutes at 200°C (392°F). Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Cut the bacon and mozzarella into pieces. Carefully separate the potato slices and insert the bacon and cheese alternately between them.
Return the potatoes to the oven and bake for another 20–30 minutes until golden and tender inside.
