Red cabbage with apples

Traditional sweet and tangy red cabbage with apples – a colorful and aromatic side dish that pairs perfectly with meats and potatoes.

Cut the cabbage in half, remove the core, and finely shred it.

Peel and dice the onions finely, and grate the apples on a coarse grater.

Heat oil in a pan or pot and sauté the onions until translucent.

Add the shredded cabbage, bay leaf, allspice, and a few tablespoons of water. Simmer over low heat.

When the cabbage softens, add the apples, raisins, and honey. Season with salt and pepper.

Mix well and cook for a few more minutes until tender and fragrant.
